Our Speaker
Paul Galdas is a Professor of Nursing and Men’s Health at the University of York. He is an internationally renowned researcher in the field of men’s health and a thought leader in the design and development of effective, efficient and scalable psychological solutions aimed at men. Paul began his career as a Registered Nurse on the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at City Hospital, Birmingham, later moving to work at St James’s Hospital, Leeds. Since 2002, he has led a programme of research investigating ways to improve men’s access to health services, particularly in mental health. His current research is funded by the international men’s health charity Movember and focuses on the development of an evidence-based proactive mental health support programme for male employees. Prior to joining the University of York in 2011, Paul held academic positions at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and the University of Sheffield, UK. |
