SERVICE STATUS: OPEN to new referrals
About the service
It is a 6-week mental health support group to support young people who identify as LGBTQ+.
The group is designed to offer mental health support to young people to develop confidence, share experiences, and provide support for managing the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community offering an opportunity to connect with and learn from others unique experiences.
Who is it for?
The group will support young people aged 12-18 yrs, who identify as LGBTQ+ and are experiencing mental health challenges.
When is it?
5 separate groups will run throughout 2025
Group 1:
9th January - 13th February 2025
Thursdays 4.30-6:30pm @ York Mind
York Mind, Highcliffe House, Highcliffe Court, Clifton, York, YO30 6BP
How do I access support?
Places on all of these groups will be allocated on a first come first serve basis through submitting a referral form.
Young people themselves are welcome to make referrals as well as parents, carers or other professionals on their behalf.
Please make referrals by December 31st 2024 for the first group. Other group dates will be advertised via our website, so please keep an eye out!
